JOURNALISM PROFESSORS TO PARTICIPATE IN EARLY START WORKSHOPS

Sheryl Swingley and Becky McDonald, both of JOURN, will teach an Early Start workshop called "Talk to the Camera" June 13-15. The workshop will allow participants to practice their presentation skills before a TV camera. Swingley will also teach another Early Start workshop on June 27-29, with journalism graphics alumnus and former part-time journalism instructor Steve Salcedo. The title of this workshop is "Stand Out From the Crowd." During the workshop students will write a resume and start work on a digital portfolio. The Early Start Program is for incoming freshmen and helps them become acquainted with the campus before starting classes in the fall.
